The main steam release isolation valve adopts an integrated design, symmetrical distributed pilot control device, compact structure, reasonable spatial layout, and improves the seismic resistance of the entire valve. The valve consists of a main valve, a manual isolation valve, a manual pilot valve, a piston chamber pressure measuring isolation valve, an electromagnetic pilot valve, etc., and is equipped with a valve position measurement device and a valve position opening and closing detection device, which can achieve remote control and monitoring. In 2022, through the appraisal of industry scientific and technological achievements, the appraisal committee believes that the developed main steam release isolation valve is successful, filling the domestic gap. Its main performance indicators have reached the advanced level of similar international products, and some indicators are better than foreign products. It can be promoted and applied in Hualong One and other nuclear power units. The "Hualong No.1 Nuclear Power Main Steam Release Isolation Valve" was recognized as the first major technical equipment in the fourth batch of energy fields in 2024.

Scope of application:

The main steam release isolation valve (H2J54C-550-350) is mainly used in the steam atmospheric discharge system (VDA) of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants to perform isolation, waste heat removal, and overpressure protection functions.

Main function: (1) Isolate the SG steam side in case of excessive increase in steam flow or steam pipeline rupture to limit RCP subcooling; (2) In SGTR operating conditions, after partial cooling is completed, increase the VDA setting value of the corresponding SG to limit radioactive release; (3) When using VDA for waste heat removal or overpressure protection, VDA needs to be able to quickly open for discharge.

Application status of achievements:

Dalian Dagao Valve Co., Ltd. and CGN Engineering Co., Ltd. signed supply contracts for LOT190ce VDA main steam release isolation valves for Units 5 and 6 of the Lufeng project in 2021; Signed the supply contract for LOT190ce VDA main steam release isolation valve for Units 5 and 6 of Fangchenggang project in 2023.
